How to reach Pelling :-

The nearest Airport is Bagdogra.
Less than 700 Km from Kolkata. Main route: Kolkata → NH12 → Siliguri (550+ km) → Melli → Gyalshing → Pelling (total 660-680 km). Start early in the morning. Overnight halt at Siliguri recommended. Hill roads are narrow & steep after Siliguri — drive slow, use horn on curves. Get a Sikkim vehicle permit at Melli/Rangpo checkpost (carry RC, insurance, DL, ID). Check the current road condition on NH12 before departure. Avoid night driving in the hills.
For those who prefer trains, New Jalpaiguri Railway Station serves as another gateway to this stunning destination. It's approximately 115 kilometers from Pelling and has good connectivity with other parts of India.

Train Schedule

Reach Kolkata to Siliguri by Bus. Many luxury buses including sleeper buses ply between Kolkata and Siliguri. One can take a mini bus (only one operates in the morning from Siliguri bus stand to Pelling). The fare is around 300/- INR. You can also get shared cabs from Siliguri bus stand from Pelling at around 500/- INR. A reserved four-seater car will cost around 4000/- INR, and a seven-seater around 5000/- INR.
